Ragebreed Records is a dynamic and fiercely independent record label rooted in the UK’s vibrant underground music scene. Established under the umbrella of the broader Ragebreed brand, the label was created with a singular purpose: to amplify the voices of emerging and independent artists within metal, rock, and alternative genres on a global stage. The label was founded and is spearheaded by Karina Sher, an accomplished musician, entrepreneur, and advocate of grassroots music. Known for her work as the frontwoman of the melodic death metal band Mindlapse and ambient gothic project/film Lake Of Dreams, Karina’s deep connection to the underground scene fueled the inception of Ragebreed Records.
Her vision was to provide a platform that not only promotes cutting-edge heavy music but also nurtures a thriving, inclusive community of artists, fans, and industry professionals. Ragebreed Records prides itself on embracing a DIY ethos, offering bands the freedom to retain creative control while benefiting from comprehensive promotional and distribution support. The label’s diverse artist roster spans a broad spectrum of sub genres—ranging from melodic death metal, doom, gothic rock,  to hard rock to metal—reflecting the eclectic and boundary-pushing spirit of the underground music world.
The label’s current roster includes notable acts such as Mindlapse, whose powerful blend of death, black, and progressive metal has garnered a loyal following as well as Lake Of Dreams which is a concept progressive, ambient gothic folk, and film project.  In addition to releasing albums and singles, Ragebreed Records is actively involved in curating compilations, and fostering cross-promotional opportunities both online and in physical spaces.

The music is just one part of the Lake Of Dreams saga, there is currently a film being written by Karina Sher.  The script will be completed in 2026 and along side singles will be released as and when recorded followed by an album to be released end of the year.

"Dreams can encompass a variety of moods and therefore LAKE OF DREAMS an acoustic doom fantasy project captures those moods to bring you energy through music to flow through the realms of darkness, romance, healing and beauty".

A solo endeavor featuring her debut self-titled EP, Lake of Dreams was established by Karina Sher, also the singer of the band Mindlapse. She envisioned a project that would intertwine concept albums, literature, and film. Guided by her admiration for Tolkien, Karina aspired to craft a dark romantic fantasy experience.

Karina Sher's musical journey began in 1994 with the band Neutral Shade, followed by her tenure with Mindlapse in 1996, during which she secured a record deal with HTT Records which she later decided to release via Ragebreed. She took a decisive step towards Lake Of Dreams, a personal project focused on acoustic compositions infused with gothic, doom, dark folk, and progressive elements. Her influences range from bands like The Gathering, Southern Isolation, Trees Of Eternity, Lacuna Coil, Opeth (especially the Damnation album), My Dying Bride, Faun, Dead Can Dance, The Moon & The Nightspirit, Hammock, Anathema, and Antimatter, alongside a myriad of film soundtracks and literary inspirations that shaped her musical narratives.

The theme revolves around an ancient druid witch who employs her magic to heal a high-ranking soldier of war, whose duty is to eliminate witches and druids. Their love is a forbidden one, filled with tension, as they are forced to repeatedly part ways, knowing that discovery of their relationship would lead to their execution—druids despised the authorities, while the authorities loathed witches and druids, often resorting to drowning them. Despite the imminent dangers, they were willing to risk everything to be together; in each other’s company, they found joy, but when separated, they spiraled into despair. The soldier grappled with the threat to his life, just as she did, leading to moments of doubt about their love, especially when he attempted to leave her. Nevertheless, their bond proved too powerful to sever. Ultimately, they faced a monumental decision. The first EP captures the initial chapter of this gripping tale. Will they overcome the challenges and stay together?"

With 6 songs written for the new EP, Karina, has recorded a masterpiece for a debut self titled EP which has been recorded at The Outhouse Recording Studio in Reading with prog genius John Mitchell. The hard copy CD is released via Ragebreed Records and available to buy from www.ragebreed.bigcartel.com along with free signed photo.

A new album is being worked on and will be released once finished.  Karina is looking into investors as a film is being worked  inspired by Tolkien and 80s/90s fantasy films. Karina is currently writing the script.

Three singles are available to purchase called "The Day After", "Patterns Of Non-Existence" and "Lake Of Dreams" (Self titled track) including the self titled EP.

With each new recording, the metal band MINDLAPSE, led by the dynamic vocalist Karina Sher, who was previously signed with HTT Records, has consistently delved into a variety of genres, moods, and influences since their inception in 1996. This commitment to diversity keeps their releases fresh and engaging. Their powerful female vocals have garnered impressive accolades, including KKKK ratings in Kerrang Magazine and appearances in the top ten of the BBC Radio Rock & Metal charts alongside Chaz Carol. Additionally, the band has been featured prominently in renowned publications such as NME Magazine and Metal Hammer Magazine. MINDLAPSE has been interviewed by industry veterans, including Malcolm Dome from Total Rock Radio, and has received airplay on stations like UG Media, HFM, and Misery Point Radio, helping them reach a global audience. They are well on their way to achieving a remarkable musical journey. Performing at prestigious venues such as Rock City in Nottingham, Camden Palace in London (now known as The Koko), Sheffield Corporation, and Bradford Rio, MINDLAPSE participated in the Under The Earth UK Tour alongside notable acts like Cancer, Insomnium, Gutworm, and Cruel Humanity, even sharing a tour bus with Insomnium. Their impressive resume includes performances with various notable bands such as Napalm Death at the Under The Earth UK All Dayer, Skindred, King Prawn, Rachel Stamp, In Me, Kill II This, just to mention a few. The band has also received recognition, named "Best Female Fronted Band" in England, as published in MRC and the Derby Telegraph, along with a full-page feature in the Leicester Mercury. They contributed to the Cop Out Compilation by Copro Records and appeared on the Tribal Sins CD by Empty Productions. Furthermore, they were highlighted in Ragebreed Magazine, High Voltage Magazine, among others and have received Number 1 in Metal Charts in England via N1M, both times with Haunted and The Prophecy, number 1 with Strength & Beyond in Take Over Radio Rock Show and in the top 10 with Chaz Carol (BBC Radio) with Lost In A Mindlapse Game printed in the NME.  Mindlapse has also been interviewed by Lady Red at Metal Devastation Radio and plugged on Ragebreed Radio and many stations internationally such as Metal Impact Radio and The Metal Manifesto.  Mindlapse has also just recorded a new single called Rage Of Masses which is progressive death metal.  The band is looking to release an album end of the year in 2026

Karina Sher holds all the rights of all Mindlapse songs as singer and songwriter for all past releases. Jimi Mitchell is onboard as guitarist and co-songwriter for 2021 album including new band member guitarist Michael Cook. Mindlapse are actively looking for a new bass player, drummer and a keyboardist so they can record a new melodic death metal album under Ragebreed Records co-written by all the members of the band. All their previous releases have been re-released under Ragebreed Records.

Mindlapse – Rage of Masses represents the moment where Kira, the druidess, no longer witnesses hell from afar — she stands within it. A being of healing and balance, she is thrust into a realm that violates everything she embodies, forced to confront war, consequence, and moral judgement beyond her natural state of existence in the Lake of Dreams universe. The war she observes is not random brutality; demons battle the lost souls of fallen soldiers, their victory or defeat determining whether souls remain bound to hell or ascend to the light, karmic debt finally paid. As Kira stands beside a tree of unborn embryos, life, death, and redemption coexist in a surreal, symbolic frame, mirroring the project’s abstract, psychological language and early Opeth-inspired progressive approach where atmosphere and narrative outweigh literal interpretation. Not meant to intervene, Kira is instead taught by her spirit guide to understand darkness without becoming it — a brutal lesson in survival, where healing alone is not enough. This sequence forms the most violent and unsettling chapter of Lake of Dreams, marking the end of innocence and the beginning of self-defence. Chaos, heaviness, and discomfort are deliberate, matched by war-like yet hauntingly beautiful riffs and instrumentation by progressive master John Mitchell, while Karina Sher’s dual vocal delivery blends progressive death metal ferocity with haunting melodic passages. Rage of Masses captures war as judgement, awakening through confrontation, and strength forged without spiritual compromise — not simply a song, but a defining turning point and new beginning in the Mindlapse era.
